Regular dancing can contribute to weight management, enhance cardiovascular fitness, improve bone and joint health, and strengthen muscles. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests that adults need at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity each week and dancing fits the bill perfectly,
Not only does dancing help combat sedentary lifestyles, but it also improves flexibility and balance, key factors for older adults wishing to maintain their independence. Falling is a significant concern and risk as we age, and engaging in dance classes can help increase stability, reducing the risk of falls.
